Crail and the East Neuk
If you are going to Boarhills, Kingsbarns or especially places like the Castle Course in St Andrews it can be faster catching an X58 from Leven and changing to a 95 at St Andrews.
The X58 and 95 often leave Leven at about the same time - so if the X58 is late you can choose to catch the slower, direct 95 instead.
Between Elie and Anstruther there are two buses an hour, the X60 and the 95.
For Colinsburgh and Kilconquhar you will find that some 95 buses omit these villages and you may need to travel beyond them to catch a bus in the opposite direction back to the stop you want.
You may find the Stagecoach Journey Planner useful in working out these journeys.
The timetables for the three buses that cover this area - the 95, X60 and X58 are shown below. Beware that the Edinburgh express buses can be delayed by traffic conditions outside Fife and you may want to investigate What happened to my bus?
From June 2024 the Sunday 95 bus timetable changes to improve connections with trains at the newly reopened Leven Railway Station - with many 95 buses departing Leven at 35 minutes past the hour rather than 20 minutes past the hour on the previous timetable - the last journey from Leven at 23:20 is extended to run to Cellardyke - and the 18:50 departure from St Andrews is retimed to run at 19:10 due to the later arrival of the inbound bus.

If you are travelling to somewhere off the main bus routes in North East Fife remember there is a range of Flexi-Buses that will take you on that last leg of your journey.

You need to book at least an hour in advance on 01382 540 624 - ticket prices are similar to normal buses - and you can also use the under-22 and over-60 concessionary passes - and ABC Tickets and One-Tickets.
